Research, context and projection.
The 2025–26 board contains eight lists and 320 distinct prospects. Each birth year has 40 skaters and 40 goaltenders. USA and USA dual-nationality prospects are considered across American and Canadian competition.
How placements are formed
Published technical observations, game influence, role, competitive demands, sustained performance and future translation inform the combined assessment. Selection to a program or camp adds context; it is not a substitute for the complete player profile. AHP’s order is its assessment of the combined record, rather than a reproduction of another publisher’s list.
Season and statistical rules
Statistical lines must contain at least 20 games for 2008–2010 skaters and goaltenders and 2011 skaters. The 2011 goalie minimum is 15 games. Below-threshold lines do not contribute to statistical evaluation. Where no qualifying line is available, the profile states the scouting and competition basis. Missing figures remain unreported. Individual competition records are kept separate to avoid double counting.
Player team labels identify 2025–26 assignments. Spring and summer 2026 selections and 2026–27 NTDP announcements are subsequent projection references. Short camp and tournament statistics are not substituted for qualifying season records.
Scouting and Research
Elite Prospects individual player records support identity, birth year, position and season information. Staff-authored scouting and official records support competitive context. Rankings draw on in-person observations, video review and technical assessment, supported by verified season records and competitive context. Each prospect’s placement reflects the combined scouting picture and projection toward junior and collegiate hockey. Anonymous lists, user-submitted ranking portals and forum rankings are excluded.

Association pages listed below establish development pathways; they are not treated as evidence of an individual selection unless the player-specific record supports that connection. Some association pages are access-restricted, so their unseen contents do not establish placements.
